Starting in Delhi, you will explore Bodhgaya, where Buddha attained enlightenment, travel through Rajgir and Nalanda’s ancient universities, visit Vaishali – the place of Buddha’s last sermon, continue to Varanasi where he delivered his first sermon at Sarnath, and move further to Kushinagar (Mahaparinirvana site). The tour also covers Lumbini in Nepal – the birthplace of Buddha, Kapilvastu – his childhood home, Sravasti – where he spent 24 monsoons, and ends with a visit to Agra’s world wonder, the Taj Mahal, before returning to Delhi.
